Tools Of The Trade
Trello – Organize anything
As they clearly say it. Organize anything, together. We use it for a very broad array of reasons. From the basic multi-platform accessibility. to board customization and if we get down to the essentials, the fact that it's EASY. It's learning curve is zero and it reminds us how much we love to use whiteboards and post-it notes, but does it in it's own digital way. Give it a try.
Spendee – See where your money goes
This we think is the best designed financial app out there. It's design is not 2014, it's 2016. Modern clean, easy to use and most of all gives you a bird's eye view of one of the core elements of your business - cash flow. So either an Android or iOS user, either for your business or personal you need this app.
Goodies For Your Data Guy
Dropbox – Back-up All Your Data
It's always safe to have a back-up. I'm not talking about storage for your family vacation photos. As sentimental as I am that's not the case. It's that 0.001% chance to have your PC crash and burn and lose a month worth of work or more. That's why, we recommend getting an account with Dropbox and have that extra level of safety for your business. I know a lot of you might like GoogleDrive more, but we've used both and still recommend Dropbox on this one.
Aweber – Mailing List Software
If you want to create a company newsletter or just start building your loyal list of subscribers this is the tool to do so with. We tested many others, some even self hosted, but nothing beats Aweber when it comes to reliability. It's the tank of mailing lists.
They say if you can't describe what you are doing as process you're not running a business. Same goes for website traffic. If you can't measure the data, see demographics, create funnels, then how do you test your marketing effectiveness? That's why we use and recommend Google Analytics.
ThemeForest – Website Templates
Whenever you want a quick start for a project this is the perfect place to check for a premium custom theme and shift those website expenses into more marketing, thus having a bigger launch. Believe it or not, even this website is built on a theme from Themeforest.
GraphicRiver – Design Templates
The place when you want to get a logo, a banner, an infographic, font and anything else that the creative minds of designers thought of.
PPH – Another site for finding skilled workers
PeoplePerHour is the new kid on the block, but we like it. It's fresher and in many ways we think better than Elance. Also it has an interesting feature called hourlies, make sure to check it out.
SlideShare – Ideal platform for sharing your vision
If you have a presentation you would like to share with the world, be it a concept you like or even a business plan, Slideshare is the place to go to. Also the recent LinkedIn integration makes it even more powerful.
